A Carbon Raiser RFQ should connect chemical indicators with the way the material will be handled and added to the process. Fixed carbon is important, but it is not the only line to compare.
Catalog reference
The Zhonghao reference lists volatile matter 6–9%, fixed carbon ≥81%, moisture 0.1–2%, sulfur ≤0.3%, phosphorus ≤0.008%, alumina ≤2%, ash ≤10%, and sizes 1–3 mm, 3–5 mm or 3–8 mm.
Do not separate chemistry from size
Two offers with the same fixed-carbon number may still differ in particle size, moisture and impurity limits. State the required range and whether fines or oversize are controlled. The RFQ should also identify the furnace or carburizing process so that the commercial review starts from the correct application.
Confirm the analysis basis
Ask which product and batch the certificate represents, which indicators will appear on the analysis document and whether independent inspection is required. The order should define how any agreed limits are evaluated.
RFQ checklist
Provide the target fixed carbon and impurity limits, particle-size range, quantity, destination, packing, Incoterm, document requirements and intended use. If absorption behavior or another performance outcome is critical, describe the requirement instead of assuming it from a catalog index.
