Start with the target alloy specification
Provide the aluminum alloy designation, chemistry range and plant or customer standard. State whether the magnesium ingot is a direct furnace addition, part of master-alloy preparation or used through another controlled route. Calculate more than magnesium recovery

Link documents to the lot
A useful COA identifies the lot and reports magnesium plus the agreed impurity fields. If incoming inspection is required, define the sampling point, test method and acceptance rule. Keep the primary magnesium lot traceable to the aluminum-alloy batch when customer or quality systems require it.
