The container, contents and service environment should lead the PE grade discussion. Bottle size, wall distribution, neck and handle design, chemical exposure and drop requirements can change the appropriate starting grade.

Connect part and process

Describe the blow-molding line, output target, mold, regrind policy and any processing limitation. Provide MFR/MFI and density requirements with their test conditions.

State performance targets

Identify stiffness, impact, environmental stress-crack resistance, colour and additive requirements. Contact with food, chemicals or regulated products may require application-specific declarations.

Approve one named grade

Review the producer TDS, SDS, COA and compliance documents for the actual offered grade. Confirm original packing, lot consistency and any trial procedure before a full order.
